Commercial HVAC in Gallatin, TN and the rest of Sumner County

Gallatin is the Sumner County seat, and it has added a hyperscale data center campus to a base of distribution centers, auto suppliers and metal shops. We keep the chillers, boilers and rooftop units in those plants, and in the county's clinics, nursing homes and offices, running as long as repair makes financial sense.

Four facts that shape Gallatin's mechanical rooms

Data, metal, patients and river water, each with its source.

Four data centers, 800 acres

Meta's Gallatin campus in the Gallatin Industrial Center is up and running: four data centers on roughly 800 acres, with total investment above $1.5 billion. The racks most Gallatin businesses depend on are much smaller, a server room or telecom closet in an office or plant, but they share the same rule: they cannot get warm.

Plants that make heat and dust

The city's largest employers include the Gap distribution center (1,080), TI Automotive fuel systems (500), YAPP USA (378), NIC Global precision sheet metal (275), Simpson Strong-Tie (240) and Hoeganaes powdered metal (215). Stamping, sheet metal and powdered metal work load the air with heat and fine particles that coat coils and choke filters.

MTIDA 2026 Gallatin profile

A hospital and three nursing homes

Highpoint Health, formerly Sumner Regional Medical Center, is Gallatin's hospital; MTIDA lists 155 hospital beds plus three nursing homes with 416 beds. Residents live in those buildings around the clock, so a dead boiler in January or a failed compressor in August is an emergency, not an inconvenience.

Old Hickory Lake water

Gallatin Public Utilities draws from the Cumberland River at Old Hickory Lake, with 16 MGD of capacity and 6.2 MGD in current use. Towers and boiler loops in town all start from that supply, which is why their water treatment deserves as much attention as their motors.

Sumner County, beyond Gallatin

The whole county is our territory, and each town in it has its own mix of buildings. Sumner County as a whole counts 293 manufacturing units with 7,585 average employment (MTIDA).

Hendersonville is the county's most populous city, home to the 159-bed TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center (Wikipedia, TriStar Health). Portland, which reaches into Robertson County, has a heavy industrial list: Peyton Mid-South's Kroger distribution center, UNIPRES pressed metal, Kirby Building Systems and North American Stamping, and NOAA's Portland station averages 1,545.0 cooling degree days (Wikipedia, MTIDA, NOAA). White House, also split between Sumner and Robertson counties, gets its water from the Cumberland River through White House Utility District (Wikipedia, MTIDA). Goodlettsville spans the Sumner and Davidson line and holds Dollar General's corporate headquarters and a Tyson Foods case-ready meats plant with 2,400 employees (Wikipedia, MTIDA).

Gallatin FAQ

Yes, for the server rooms and telecom closets inside offices, plants and clinics: computer room air conditioners, dedicated split systems, and the chillers that serve them. When one fails, the first job is a plan to hold the room's temperature, portable cooling or a stopgap on the failed unit, and the permanent repair follows.

Yes. Nearly all of it happens with the building occupied. When a unit or boiler has to come offline, we schedule it with your administrator for the mildest part of the day and have it back before rooms drift out of range.

Both are. So are White House and the Sumner side of Goodlettsville, and the same office number and 24/7 emergency line cover every one of them.
